Popularity of Seminyak villas as a new alternative in holiday accommodation has been enormously increase in the last few years for two reasons. First reason is popularity of Seminyak itself. Located only a few minutes away from the bustling Kuta, high-class atmosphere of Seminyak has attracted discerning holiday makers to spend most of their Bali holiday there. Second reason is increasing popularity of Bali villas in general. In addition to luxurious service offered by resort hotels, private villas offer something people could not get in public accommodation options, ultimate privacy.

There are a wide range of options of private villas available in Seminyak. As the area is growing up and available plot of land for private villa development is getting rare, only a few individual private villas with ample garden are available, all of which are so popular that bookings are made way in advance, in many cases more than a year prior to arrival.

Newer trend are complexes of smaller self-contained holiday villas mostly coming in one, two, and three at maximum bedrooms. Popular for those with lower budget, these type of Seminyak villas offering a kind of holiday town living, where tenants spend more of their time outside. Whilst they come with their own living area, kitchen, and private swimming pool, garden is in most of the cases very limited, so spending a lot of time relaxing on the poolside may not be as pleasurable.

Suitable for honeymooner of other smaller group, those coming with larger group will have to rent a few units next to each other to get all accommodated in this type of villa accommodation. Whilst some complexes offer connecting gate on the wall between units, lack of communal space suitable for get together of the whole group often to be the main concern.

Price ranges very widely. Individual private villas range from less than $100 to near $1,000 whilst individual private villas range somewhere between around $1,000 to beyond $5,000. Season affect the price quite significantly. Prepare to pay at least 50% more to rent during the peak season falling between July to October and weeks over Chirstmas, New Year, Chinese New Year, and Easter Holidays.
